I am now working on the animations for movies called, “Das Aufruhr” and “Wild Fighting Horses.” Das Aufruhr will be approximately six minutes long, so may take between sixteen and twenty days to complete (or longer); “Wild Fighting Horses” will be much shorter — perhaps under two minutes. Like “Winter Bird,” the animations will be ultra-minimal, black & white, with instrumental music. The drawings will be finer-lined and darker which will contribute to the illusion of exaggerated motion. Das Aufruhr presents technical challenges that are new to me, as I want to make it appear as though the action is being filmed with a shaky hand-held device…
Tommy, this is wonderful! I felt like I was transported to an art house somewhere in Eastern Europe. The animation adds even more feeling and richness to the music.
